Brazil is much in the news these days between the upcoming 2016 Olympics and the World Cup. Without question: the most famous song about Brazil, this song has been recorded by simply everybody of note, and has been featured in countless films, including Terry Gilliams' dark futuristic version with the same name. (Disney was the first to use it in a film starring Donald Duck and his Brazilian counterpart, the parrot Ze Carioca) Ary Barroso was one of Brazil's most famous composers of the 20th century. Legend has it that this was the first song that used a samba beat.
